Mixer uniformity (CV) test
- Mix a normal batch, then take 10 samples from different points of the mixer or its discharge.
- Have the same marker (salt/chloride or a tracer) analysed in every sample.
- Enter the results below. Any unit works, as long as it is the same for every sample.
- Repeat after any change to the mixer, and at least twice a year.

What to check
- Mixing time: use the mixer maker's time, counted after the last ingredient is in.
- Filling level: both overfilling and very small batches reduce uniformity.
- Worn ribbons, paddles or screws, and build-up on the walls.
- Order of addition: add premix after part of the main ingredients, not first into an empty mixer and not last on top.
Results are estimates for planning. Your final formula and order follow your specification.
